Within the framework of the project titled “Improvement of Agricultural Extension Services” (2017-TURAGRIC-436) being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, study visits to Tunisia (24-25 September, 2018) and Morocco (26-28 September, 2018) have been conducted.
Within the scope of the visits, which were participated by the project coordinator, trainer and officials from the Ministry, the delegation made examinations on the current situation in agricultural irrigation management and agricultural irrigation extension services in the partner countries. Also, field visits were made to various irrigated agricultural areas in order to see the practices on irrigation management. Moreover, two different surveys were circulated for technical staff working in the field of irrigation management and farmers during the visits in order to determine the needs for the training program to be held in October, 2018 in Adana, Turkey.
