With a view to address the existing and potential ramifications of the COVID Pandemic, the CCO decided to initiate the COMCEC COVID RESPONSE (CCR) for the benefit of member country public institutions in 2020.
The CCR is mainly about alleviating the negative impacts of the pandemic on member country economies with a particular focus on agriculture, finance, poverty alleviation, trade, transport and tourism. Under the Program, the CCO has financed certain types of projects, which would focus on needs assessment, sharing expertise, providing direct grants to final beneficiaries.
For the details regarding project preparation, submission, appraisal, implementation, monitoring and evaluation procedures, see CCR Guidelines.
CCO will call for project proposal under CCR for the implementation year 2022 on October 16th, 2021. Please follow our web site for up-to-date information and new project proposal period.
Please note that only government institutions registered to COMCEC Working Groups can submit project proposals to CCR. NGOs and private sector organizations are not eligible.
Please contact COMCEC Coordination Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) for further inquiries.
In the first year of the program, the CCR focused on three sectors, namely Agriculture, Tourism and Trade, at the pilot phase. In this regard, eight projects were successfully implemented within the scope of the CCR in 2021. Moreover, seven additional projects are being conducted under the CCR in 2022.
