The Hybrid Training on “Halal Food and Meat Detection Methods and Interlaboratory Comparison For OIC Countries” has been conducted by SMIIC between 23-26 October 2023 in Jeddah / Saudi Arabia and online simultaneously within the framework of the COMCEC Project Funding.

A detailed training about 4 different methods to detect non-halal materials in food, meat, processed meat and gelatin was conducted for 4 days for the benefit of 60 trainees from 15 labs and 10 OIC Member Countries, namely Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Türkiye.

As the second activity under the Project, the International Conference on the same topic will be held at the end of November in İstanbul and through online platforms.
