Within the framework of the Project titled “Developing Export Competitiveness of Potential Halal Products of Bangladesh”, Training on “International Halal Standards and Certification Requirements” was held on 19-21 November, 2023 in Dhaka/Bangladesh by the Ministry of Commerce and Foreign Trade Institute of Bangladesh.
The training aimed at enhancing the capacity of the officials from both public and private sectors related to halal certification for increasing the trade of halal products in Bangladesh. In this regard, high-level officials and technical experts from the public and private sector in Bangladesh participated in the training.
Moreover, as the project partners, representatives of Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) and Halal Accreditation Agency of the Republic of Türkiye also participated in the training activity as trainers to exchange their knowledge and experience.
